OPEN TALK: Storytelling for Data Scientists

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Art is just as important as science when it comes to data. Todays data scientists should be able to express their “analytics creativity”, narrowing down increasingly massive sets of data points to the most pertinent layer and curating the analysis to meet specific needs across an organization; the visual and verbal communication should aim to inspire the recipients and induce action. This skill is more important than ever before, as folks with varying levels of data sophistication — from bloggers to marketing specialists — becoming more data-driven in their day-to-day operations, each looking for the best way to action insights. More than ever before, data teams have to become great storytellers.
In this session, we will explore:
  • examples of data teams that have successful unleashed their analytics creativity and the results it drove.
  • best practices for developing the next generation of data scientists and the necessary skill sets.
