API World + Integrate 2016

Basing our world experiences through social media makes us ready to accept the social media based recommendations and decisions. Now it is possible to create the service for API economy that could be reused on various consumer facing portals or apps through API calls. 
The workshop would demonstrate an imaginary API travel service that would be built up using Watson cognitive capabilities, IBM Bluemix, Server Side Swift and IBM API Connect. 
The process of building an API would be presented with deployment of a solution that is going to get cognitive recommendations for the travel destination from the social media pictures, based on the defined by Watson location, and a weather service will pick up the time of the travel with the preferred weather conditions, while the usage of API Connect and Server Side Swift would create the integration point for accessing travel service at the API market.
